Vincent Van Gogh Dutch - Groot-Zundert, Netherlands Mar. 30, 1853 - July 29,1890

Overview:
Jack Vettriano took a very odd path to becoming a widely recognized painter. Many if not most successful artists realize the fruits of their labors only after having completed traditional programs of study in the fine arts. Very few of them, one would suspect, spend their artistically formative years working as mining engineers. Yet this is precisely the route that Vettriano has taken to painting stardom.
For an "untrained" artist, Vettriano has an incredibly keen sense of how to make a particular style come alive on canvas. His paintings all seem to present a scene in medias res--"in the middle of things." The moments he captures are very dynamic, lending themselves flights of the imagination. Rather than producing static figures, Vettriano renders his subjects in such a way as to give them entire histories outside of the canvas.
Vettriano's works, with their wonderful colors and conversation-provoking settings, make for excellent display items. Here at Art Auction Fundraiser.com, we carry an extensive selection of Vettriano's most notable pieces and make them available to our customers in a variety of formats.
