A limited edition means that there's only so many prints of them that will ever be made. Limited editions, because of their higher quality materials, look richer and stay beautiful longer. Some prints belong to "open-ended" editions. Open-ended editions tend to be less expensive than limited editions, unless the artist is of particular prominence or popularity. Be wary, however, that your "open ended" limited edition is actually that, and not a fancily named poster.
